The Night of the Museums returns May 19th, 2018

A cultural event that is always eagerly anticipated, the Night of the Museums returns on May 19th! Don’t miss this 13th edition of the event that allows you to discover cultural treasures and go behind the scenes of the most beautiful museums in Paris. The hotels of the Compagnie Hotelière de Bagatelle invite you to take advantage of the occasion by visiting one or more of the museums that are easily accessible from our locations; the Louvre, Quai Branly and Orsay museums and the Petit and the Grand Palais.

Fine Arts at the Louvre Museum

The Musée du Louvre, the most visited museum in the world, offers free admission on this exceptional night from 18:00 to midnight. View the superb collections in a different light and discover a unique exhibition featuring works by students from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris.

Far-away lands at the Quai Branly Museum

The evening of May 19th, 2018 promises to delight you at the Musée du Quai Branly, a museum devoted entirely to the indigenous arts and cultures of the world. Guides await to take you on informative tours in a pleasantly subdued atmosphere.

Monet at the Orsay Museum

Another setting, another ambiance can be found at the Musée d'Orsay, where the Night of the Museums unveils the world of Claude Monet's Le Déjeuner sur L'Herbe, one of his first paintings, and the Nymphéas, a series of works created during the twilight of his life. You can view these European and world artistic heritage works to the accompaniment of a live jazz band.

Surprises at the Petit and the Grand Palais

On the occasion of the Night of the Museums, the Petit Palais will surprise and enchant you with an unexpected experience in which the works come to life. At the Grand Palais you can attend It's Alive, a piece composed in 2017 by Gabriel Legeleux (Superpoze) especially for the automaton musical instruments of Stephan Eicher.
